Refund Policy — Visual Sectors

Part of the Terms of Sale.

1. The short version

2. Subscriptions

2.1 During the 14-day trial

Nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund. Cancel in your account before day 15 and the subscription ends with no payment.

2.2 After the first charge

Ask us within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it, less the runs you have already spent in that period, valued at US $0.02 a run — the same rate as a run pack. If you have spent nothing, you get the whole charge back.

After 14 days, a subscription period that has been used is not refunded. You can cancel at any time, which stops the next renewal and leaves you the allowance for the period you paid for.

Annual subscriptions. The same 14 days apply from the charge. After that, if you cancel part-way through a year we refund the whole unused months, less any month in progress and less the runs you have spent above what those months included. We would rather do this than have you feel stuck in a year you stopped using.

3. What happens when you cancel

Cancelling in your account stops the next renewal. You keep the plan and the month's allowance until the period you have paid for ends, and any run packs you bought stay on your account — bought runs never expire.

If you want money back rather than the rest of the period, write to support@visualsectors.com before the period ends and §2.2 applies.

4. Run packs and pay-as-you-go runs

Unspent runs are refundable. Ask within 14 days of buying a pack and we refund the runs you have not spent, at what you paid for them. Spent runs are not refundable — the work was done.

Where a pay-as-you-go purchase under US $10 carried the payment processor's fee (Terms of Sale §3.3), the fee is refunded with the runs if you ask within those 14 days and have spent none of them. If you have spent some, we refund the unspent runs and keep the fee, because the processor has charged it either way.

Bought runs never expire, so there is rarely a reason to ask for a refund rather than keep them. They stay on your account across months and across a cancelled subscription.

Nothing is ever charged to your card automatically. There is no auto-top-up and no setting that creates one, so there is no such thing here as an unexpected charge you then have to reclaim.

5. A refund or a chargeback takes back the runs

When we refund a purchase, the runs it paid for are removed from your balance. If that leaves your balance below zero — because you spent them before the refund was processed — the negative balance is cleared and you simply start from zero, and we may decline further purchases while we look at it.

A chargeback does the same. If you dispute a charge with your bank rather than asking us, we take back the runs it paid for and may suspend the account until the dispute is resolved. We would much rather you wrote to us: support@visualsectors.com, and we answer within one working day.

6. If something did not work

If you were charged for a run that produced nothing, or produced an error, tell us and we will put the run back. That is not a refund and it does not use up anything in this policy — it is a mistake being corrected. Write to support@visualsectors.com with the ticker and roughly when.

The Risk Disclaimer still applies: a reading you disagree with, or one the market then contradicts, is not a run that failed. We refund work that did not happen, not conclusions you did not like.

7. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, this policy is in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them. In the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights where digital content is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described; in the European Union, Directive (EU) 2019/770 does the same. Nothing here limits either.

If you are in the European Union you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, though writing to us first is faster.

8. How to ask

support@visualsectors.com, from the address on your account. Tell us what you want refunded. We answer within one working day and, where we agree, the refund goes back to the card you paid with, usually within five working days — the timing after that is your bank's.
